The following positions are available at the ABCD, Inc., Finance Department:

Senior Accountant: Grant maintenance and related financial reporting. Maintenance of General Ledger for grants including journal entries and preparing documents for audits. Responsible for cash receipts-maintenance and recording. Responsible for General, Energy, and Family Services grants. Perform all necessary accounting functions including but not limited to account analysis, journal entries, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Assist Account Manager in reviewing all General Ledger Accounts. Prepare analysis for auditors as required. Maintain daily cash register. Deposit and record all receipts including checks, and wire transfers. Education/Experience/Skills: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with at least four years work experience. Proficiency in Excel and knowledge of Accounting Software. Must have strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills. Starting Salary: $27.47/hour for 35 hours/week paid on a bi-weekly basis. Excellent Benefits Package.

Family Case Worker: Responsible for children supervision and for keeping children safe. Work with all Child Care families by helping them secure needed services that are available to them. Assist with recruitment and enroll Child Care children in assigned areas. Engage in advocacy work on behalf of individual families. Develop plans with families that may help them achieve economic independence and self-sufficiency. Development of family assistance plans that identify family goals. Referral and follow-up activity with community resources in response to health and social services need of families. Establish and coordinates a community resource data bank for families. Prepare required reports. Education/Experience/Skills: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field plus at least one year experience in Human Services OR Associate degree in Human Services or related field plus three years of experience in Human Services OR a High School graduate plus five years of experience in Human Services. Knowledge of Social Service/Health Agencies in the Greater Bridgeport area. Knowledge of Medical/Health terminology desire. Bi-lingual oral and written communication skills are a plus. Interpersonal skills and ability to work with children and their families. Computer knowledge desired. Connecticut driver’s license and a good driving record are required. Starting Salary: $12.80/hour for 35 hours/week paid on a bi-weekly basis. Excellent Benefits Package.
